Curriculum overview

The central aim of our curriculum is prepare students for life beyond Wyvern. We recognise that this will mean different things for different students.

At the centre of each child’s curriculum is their Education Health and Care Plan outcomes. The wider curriculum pathway learning intentions and experiences wrap around this.

Beyond each student’s personalised learning each student will access a learning pathway. This learning pathway sets out the intended learning, subject areas and topics specific to that pathway. Our pathways ensure that there is appropriate progression for all pupils no matter what their starting point

Each student will progress within or through the curriculum pathways at their own pace based on their learning needs. Our curriculum is developmental with each pathway building on the pathway before.
